The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has been laughed at by sneaker experts in the past, but in the last seven months, a good mix of retros, new styles, and special collaborations has turned some doubters into fans.
Spooky leathers and recycled sole make for a fun shoe
As fall gets closer, a mid-top version of Bruce Kilgore’s famous 1982 design has come out in a mix of black and grey colors that look like a Halloween costume. Even though the colors are pretty simple, the smooth leather and suede panels make for a textured arrangement. Profile swooshes, “AIR” branding at the lateral heel, and “NIKE” logos on the top of the tongue, sock-liners, and upper heel all go for a “spooky” look with fang-like edges, shapes that look like ghouls, and finishes that look like spider webs. The scary Air Force 1, on the other hand, is more eco-friendly than most other shoes on the market because its sole unit is made from up-cycled materials.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low is the perfect shoe for a Halloween party or as a comfortable and sporty shoe to wear every day. The scarier version of the shoe has dark colors and weird stitching that gives it a funky look and fits in with the brand’s scary style.
