The Nike “The Future Is Equal” collection, which was unveiled earlier this week by way of the Dunk Low, is just one more method to bring about a brighter and more inclusive foreseeable future. And to help spread the news even further, the company is adding an Air Max 90 to the lineup of products in question.

The design is reflective of the name that it has been given
The Air Max 90 “The Future Is Equal” follows a design almost identical to its predecessor, which was created by Peter Moore, and is almost entirely made out of a white canvas. The TPU overlays along the eye stays and heel have the same color as the rest of the shoe, which allows them to perfectly match the finish of the neighboring laces, tongue, and lining. Even the solitary unit has a light appearance, albeit with the color “Sail” rather than the previously described neutral. Bright colors are exclusively used for the iconography that is unique to the collection, such as the mouth-shaped design that is printed across the heel and the lettering that reads “The Future Is Equal” that is printed on top of the sockliner.

Summary
Undoubtedly an intriguing design that has endured the test of time is the Air Max 90. The “The Future Is Equal” collection shows us how a designer can use negative space and color to give a single shoe so much meaning.
