After its boisterous comeback in 2020, the Nike Dunk has remained the industry’s dominant shoe thanks to a long list of odd collaborations and hard-to-find offers, including a forthcoming Jarritos team-up and a plethora of Huff variants. During most of 2022, the model was only available to outside influencers. Now, first looks at a “Wheat Toe” version are showing up online.

The mix of supple suede and densely woven jacquard mesh is quite fresh
Mirroring the split look of the silhouette’s Supreme collaboration from 2019, the forefoot’s vamp, mudguard, and initial overlay are made of supple suede, while the latter portion of the model is made of a densely woven jacquard mesh. The initial embellishments, as well as the embossed tongue tab, are coated in a brilliant wash of caramel, and the rarely bright blue stitching complements the navy laces while presenting a gentle transition into the model’s clothed dark blue composition. In contrast to the upper’s Off-White sole unit, the pair’s clay-colored insoles have an insignia depicting a blockage being rebuilt with a Nike SB bonding agent, completing off the pair’s construction-like effect.

Conclusion
Even though this Nike Dunk Low doesn’t have a particularly flashy colorway, the idea behind how it was put together is a good one. The contrast between the bright caramel color and the dark engineered mesh and suede upper of the model draws attention to the careful details that went into making the shoe.
