Sneaker culture’s constant fixation on inside-out construction has influenced silhouettes like the Chuck 70 and many of Nike’s best shoes. And by 2022, Jordan Brand has also succumbed. They are about to release the Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX, which is another model that has been taken apart.
The deconstruction makes for a classic style with an air of exclusivity
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX isn’t as much of a flip as the four “Inside Out” colorways that came out earlier this year. Instead, most of the construction stays the same size: the overlays are still one layer higher, the toe box and mid-panel are just a bit lower, and the Swoosh is as 3D as any other GR. Only the materials and details themselves give that deconstructed feel. For example, yellow foam is visible along the edges of every unfinished piece.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG EX doesn’t look like a typical product, but it still looks appealing. Considering that this product comes with two shoes, it’s a must-have for anyone who wants an inside-out pair of Air Jordans.
