Several people have worked on the Blazer over the past few years. Cactus Plant Flea Market cut off a few inches, READYMADE messed up the whole construction, and Virgil Abloh reimagined the classic in his signature deconstructed style. Nike has done a few of its own redesigns, and the Blazer Mid ’77 Remastered is one more.
It’s fun to look at this shoe’s snazzy colorway and nice design
This model takes a patchwork-like approach, which is a much more subtle way to interpret the work of the people above. In this upcoming colorway, the newly-spliced materials, like the textile along the mid-panel and the textured block just below, are shown off in fall-appropriate colors like “Sesame” and “Pecan.” The lace unit and suede heel next to it are both dark brown, while the rest of the leather and overlays are made up of White, “Light Bone,” and a little bit of “Sail.”
Overall, the remastered reissue of the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 “Pecan” is another great retro runner from the Swoosh. It is a great choice for people who want a less traditional take on the classic Blazer model and its trendy lifestyle looks.
