The Swoosh tried out the Nike Blazer this summer. The Blazer has something for everyone these days, as the Beaverton-based brand keeps looking for new looks and ideas for their basketball-turned-lifestyle form. The new Blazer Mid is based on Keith Haring’s unique graffiti style and has a variety of bright motion markings.
A clear and simple look with playful touches
The majority of the model’s real estate is rendered in a tumbled all-white leather scheme, with a matching adjacent midsole, tread, and laces, allowing the whimsical markings inspired by Haring’s art style to adorn the Light Grey Swoosh in a colorful accenting collection of blue, green, and red hues. “Emerald Green” is chosen at random from the pack to provide rare samples, with the embroidered “NIKE” branded tongue and heel tab, while the titular tone closes with a Pinwheel emblem on white insoles.
The Nike Blazer Mid is a nice addition to the classic Blazer lineup. It gives the Blazer a little more flash and zing that some people thought it was missing. The Motion Markings are a cool detail that isn’t too “loud” but is still noticeable in most colorways.
