You’ve most likely heard of 9th Wonder, who has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar. And, very soon, the Grammy-winning producer will apply his skills to a completely different medium: the Nike KD 15.
“EA$Y” and “07” enhances the shoe’s visual appeal
9th Wonder keeps the KD 15’s textile and suede in a light grey colorway for the base of his collaborative offering. The pair, however, features bright, alternating colors along the cage across the lateral: on the left foot, the fixture embeds orange Swooshes into a light green panel, while the right flips the exact same color combo. The paisley-adorned insoles, embroidered logos on the tongue, and “EA$Y” and “07” markings on the heel all reflect this duality. However, the bottom retains its blue midsole and iridescent metallic on both sides.
The Nike KD 15 design by 9th Wonder is nothing groundbreaking, but that doesn’t make it a boring shoe. In fact, he manages to incorporate his own identity and musical inspiration into the pair while maintaining Kevin Durant’s signature aesthetics.
